This safari package offers an incredible 9-day adventure through some of Tanzania's most iconic destinations. The journey begins in Arusha, where you'll meet with your safari guide and receive a briefing about the safari. The first two days will be spent exploring Tarangire National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants.

From there, you'll head to Karatu, a town surrounded by rolling hills and coffee plantations, and spend a day exploring the nearby Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tanzania.

The highlight of the safari will be the three days spent in the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, known for its vast open plains and incredible wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and more. You'll have the opportunity to go on game drives and enjoy picnic lunches in the park.

On the final day, you'll visit Lake Natron, a salt lake situated at the base of the active Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. You'll have the chance to hike to nearby waterfalls and take a dip in refreshing natural pools before returning to Arusha for your departure flight.

Full Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Arival Day

    Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be picked up by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After a brief rest, you'll meet with your safari guide who will give you a detailed briefing about the safari and answer any questions you may have.

  • Day 2
    Tarangire National Park

    After an early breakfast at your lodge, you'll depart for Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha. Upon entering the park, you'll immediately notice the iconic baobab trees, which are scattered throughout the landscape.

    Your guide will take you on a game drive through the park, and you'll have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and more. Tarangire is known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, so you'll likely see plenty of these majestic animals throughout the day.

    You'll stop for a picnic lunch in the park, and your guide will find a scenic spot with a view of the surrounding landscape. After lunch, you'll continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the park and spotting more wildlife along the way.

    In the late afternoon, you'll return to your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious dinner.

  • Day 3
    Tarangire National Park

    Today, you'll have another full day to explore Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, you'll head back into the park and continue your game drives, searching for wildlife and enjoying the stunning scenery.

    Your guide may take you to different areas of the park today, giving you the opportunity to see different habitats and ecosystems. For example, you may visit the Silale Swamp, which is an important watering hole for wildlife in the park. Here, you'll have the opportunity to spot buffalo, waterbuck, and other animals that come to drink from the swamp.

    You'll have another picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drive in the afternoon. As the day draws to a close, you'll head back to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

  • Day 4
    Lake Manyara National Park

    After breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its flamingos and tree-climbing lions. You'll spend the day on a game drive, then drive to Karatu for an overnight stay.

  • Day 5
    Ngorongoro Crater

    After an early breakfast, you'll depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tanzania. You'll spend the day exploring the crater, which is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and more. You'll have a picnic lunch in the crater and return to your lodge in the evening.

  • Day 6
    Serengeti National Park

    You will wake up early and head to the park after breakfast. You'll enjoy a game drive on your way to the lodge, giving you a chance to spot some of the park's iconic wildlife. After checking into your lodge, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, taking in the beautiful scenery around you. In the afternoon, you'll continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the park and searching for more wildlife. In the evening, you'll return to your lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.

  • Day 7
    Serengeti National Park

    On the final day  at Serengeti, you'll wake up early and depart on another morning game drive, enjoying the last chance to spot some of the park's wildlife. You'll have breakfast in the park before continuing your game drive, exploring areas you may have missed during your previous visits. You'll have a picnic lunch in the park then drive all the way to Lake Natron and overnight there.

  • Day 8
    Lake Natron

    You'll wake up at your lodge in Lake Natron and have breakfast before embarking on a nature walk to explore the area around the lake. Lake Natron is a shallow salt and soda lake, and its high alkalinity creates a unique habitat for a variety of birds and other wildlife, including flamingos, pelicans, and baboons.

    During the nature walk, your guide will take you to the lake's shoreline, where you can observe the flamingos in their natural habitat. You'll also have the opportunity to see the Engaresero Waterfall, which is located nearby and is a popular attraction for visitors to the area.

    After the nature walk, you'll return to your lodge for lunch before departing for Arusha. The drive back to Arusha takes several hours, but you'll have the chance to take in the stunning scenery along the way. Upon arriving in Arusha, you'll check into your hotel and have the evening to relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of the past week.

    Departure

    It's time to say goodbye to Tanzania. After breakfast at your lodge, you'll be picked up by your driver and begin your journey back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure, filled with incredible wildlife sightings, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable experiences.
